Having an “alpha dog” isn’t always the best option—even for an equally strong and experienced trainer. When it comes to the battle for alpha, no one wants to have to fight their canine each and every day for that top spot in your relationship. When you pick a companion, pick a dog who listens. A dog in control is the best dog. We should seek to spend our career fighting together, not fighting against each other.
